The median, never an average
One very large case can distort an average. The median — the middle reported outcome — is harder to skew.

No estimate, on purpose. Reported outcomes appear only where a verified dataset meets our sample rules — with its source, size and dates. Until then, a situation like yours needs an attorney's review.

What an attorney looks at
How we will report outcomes
When we publish reported case outcomes for an injury, they will follow these rules. Until a dataset meets them, we show nothing rather than guess.
One very large case can distort an average. The median — the middle reported outcome — is harder to skew.
The range covering the middle half of reported outcomes, so you see the spread, not a single number.
The highest reported outcome is shown separately and called what it is: an outlier, not what anyone can expect.
How many reported cases, which years, which places, settlements and verdicts counted separately — and where the data came from.
Reported outcomes are historical data, not a prediction or guarantee. Many settlements are confidential, and published datasets are incomplete and selective. Your case may differ substantially based on fault, medical evidence, permanency, lost income, insurance, venue, timing and other factors.
About this tool
Because no tool can honestly price a case from a few answers. Value depends on evidence an attorney has to review — medical records, fault, insurance and more. Where verified reported outcomes exist, we show them with their source and sample size, so you can judge them yourself.
No. The case factor check runs entirely in your browser. Your answers disappear when you close or reload the page. We only receive information if you later choose to send a request.
You can keep what you learned, read our guides, or — when you are ready — send a confidential request. Where participating attorneys are available, one may contact you to discuss whether they can help.
